Name: Souma Hide

Nickname/codename: None

Age: 22

Height: 5'11"

Weight: 9 1/2 stone

Hair color: Red (dyed, almost crimson)

Eye color: Black, though he does occasionally wear blue contacts when he doesn't feel like wearing his glasses.

Physical appearance (clothing worn, tattoos, piercings,);

His hair only long enough to brush around his ears and touch at the top of his eyelids. Black, thick framed glasses cover his eyes normally, though they don't look geeky on him and complement his hair colour. Because of his hair colour he will never be seen wearing a colour that clashes with it. He tends to stick to blacks and creams, tight fitting, but not too revealing as he usually wears a jacket over whatever top he has chosen, that or an apron at work.

He usually wears slacks of black or cream, despite his thin figure he doesn't like showing off his shape too much, he likes to leave something to the imagination. Usually wearing dark shoes to accompany them instead of trainers. His clothing doesn't reflect his personality as much as people who know him think it would, but he dresses comfortably and that is all that matters to him.

He's had a tattoo on his right shoulder since his 19th birthday, a lilly in black and white, with the character "su" as in suki in a scroll underneath it (see the accident to get why that is indeed relevant).

Skills (languages spoken, other useful knowleges and abilities that aren't 'powers', combat abilities):

Thanks to his fathers profession he has learnt some languages. English, Mandarin, Cantonese and Thai are some of those he has at least a working knowledge in, as well as his native Japanese.

He is also an artist, though not professionally. And can often be seen sketching away, even while he is working. He draws mostly original work, but is occasionally convinced to draw fanart of some of the most popular anime or people by his co-workers.

Powers/Magical Ability (if any): None.

Personality:
In a word. Immature. He likes to think himself younger than he is at least by a couple of years. He smiles a lot, always trying to make other people smile. He is known as a very kind person who will offer his help where needed, or even hinted as so.

He very rarely snaps at people and is known to smile and wave off even the strongest of insults, though that doesn't mean he doesn't snap. His tongue can be lethal, and those who make him use it beyond deserve it. He can destroy more people with three sentances than most can with a baseball bat and twenty minutes. He tends to do this more to people he knows, knowing exactly where to hit them to get the best effect.

If he doesn't want to do something he won't, which only adds to why most people like him, because they know that if he does help them that he is doing it because he truly wants to.

He tends to become quiet when walking in the street. He doesn't like cars, he fears them and will often freeze up if a bike passes him on the sidewalk, though he will continue smiling to help himself through it. He will always walk where ever he needs to go.. people can insist as much as they like but if they offer him a lift he will always decline.

He can speak seriously about things but he chooses not to, not wanting to depress anyone, especially himself, preffering to keep people's spirits up. He acts almost childishly some times, especially when food is involved, or computer games, he can be found in arcades more often than not beating kids who think that he is 'too old' to beat them.

He also enjoys a game of spin the bottle occasionally, despite his age... what's the point in growing up if it just means you get to live life without enjoyment? - That is almost his saying, it is what he lives by.

Background:
Grew up outside of the Main House walls, in the family community outside of it. He grew up happily and liked to project this on others. His father travels the world and so did his clients, so occasionally Hide would get to meet them and learn languages by speaking to them. Luckily they didn't seem to mind his natural curiosity, even as he reached his teens and beyond.

His mother is a professional cook, and therefore he can't cook to save his life. He appreciates good cooking much more because of that though. It seems as though everything he touches in the kitchen gets ruined so he tends to stay away from there. His mother used to help him cook simple things. Onigiri is the only thing he can cook without causing a fire.

He also has a younger brother, same age as Yuki and Kyou, called Takuya. Takuya is much like his brother, so they are much worse when in the same room. Laughing over the smallest things, keeping eachother company when their parents would work late, trying to kick eachothers asses at Tekken or some similar game.

When Hide was younger he was watching over and playing with the children, including his brother, who were playing with Yuki on that fateful day. Of course now he doesn't remember it, but he still recognises Yuki as a family member, and will often smile and wave if he sees him.

He was never a good study, always losing himself to his imagination and the next picture he should draw, often drawing instead of making notes in classes. He left school with average grades, but has always pressed his brother to do better than he did.

At 18 he was involved in a car accident that killed a mother and child(There's the 'Su' thing ^^;; ), though it was clearly an accident Hide has always blamed himself. He was on a bicycle, casually riding along when a stolen car came out of no where, hitting him as they made a desperate attempt to escape the police behind them.

He was told as he was recovering that the stolen car had taken an unexpected detour down a side street to try and flee their new 'hit and run', taking the exit corner too quickly, accidently hitting a second car side on. The female driver died instantly, the car crumpling and hitting her head on the sharp edge of what was once her side door. Her child, who was in the back seat was also killed instantaneously by the impact.

Hide blames himself because if he could've just found some way of avoiding that first car, those two people probably would be alive today, if he hadn't been hit.. those two would be alive.. and this is why he doesn't like serious conversation. Though he has always been 'happy' by nature, this was when the differences between 'inside Hide' and 'outside Hide' would really show, showing that now there was a sadness in him.

What really got to him was that the driver and passenger of the stolen car had gotten away with barely any scratches at all, able to tell their tale to the police when they had been caught.

He spent a couple of months (including his 19th birthday) in hospital thanks to lasting concussion and a couple of broken bones (ribs, leg, the usual), before he got that tattoo, a constant reminder for him, even if he can't see it, he can feel it and that's all that matters.

The next big event in his life was that he got a job at ... you guessed it.. Cafe Kubi as a waiter and has gathered a couple of regular customers as fans, of both his looks and his artwork. He laughs a lot and this tends to spread, amongst the girls would will purposely sit at the counter to speak to him.

He has had a job there now for about a year, trying to get some money in so he can afford to buy everything he wants, including new, cool, designer glasses and rent for a place of his own, his parents protective of him since his accident.

Likes: Drawing, computer games, working, other languages, kids, his brother.

Dislikes: the word 'adult', people who tell him to grow up, cars, bicycles.

Hobbies: Drawing, playing soccer with friends, going to the arcade, showing upstart kids who's boss at computer games.
